Our daughter loved ranch dressing when we lived in the US.
Hard to find in Sweden! We once tried Starbucks who have restaurants downtown, daughter ordered as she did in the US, looking forward to her ranch dressing!
The girl behind the counter was like: -What dressing?????
My daughter was almost angry! Subway on the sign and no ranch dressing!
So she went on line, found this recipe.
We do not have buttermilk in Sweden anymore so that went away…
First time we made mayo….
Next time we simplified just using sour cream! Easy and with no mayo it is good for a couple of days in the fridge.
So this is our very easy recipe:
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp dijon mustard
1/5 tsp garlic powder
1/5 tsp onion powder
1/5 tsp ground black pepper
1/5 ground dried tarragon
2 drops Worchestershire sauce
a dash of cayenne
a dash of salt
1 Tbsp chopped dill
1 Tbsp cut chives
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
Stir everything together and let stand in the fridge at least 2 hours before serving.
This time of the year I am lucky to have parsley in my backyard!
Just beautiful, very fresh, homemade ranch dressing!
