Ham and bacon gratin.
In Swedish: “Rättika” translated to english I can only find “black radish” As you can se they are white! I do not think I have ever used these before but they turned out to be a great sub for the high carb potatoes!
Peal, grate and cook in salted water 15 minutes.
Fry an onion and a clove of garlic in plenty of butter, add the drained radish to dry a little bit more.
Layer with a good smoked ham in a oven safe plate.
Almost cover with heavy cream.
As I did not have a lot of ham I decided to cover with bacon.
Bake in oven 440 F /225 C for about 20 minutes.
