Broccoli/cauliflower soup topped with smoked salmon.

Came home after a very cold walk….what is in the fridge for a fast lunch?

Found:

Broccoli and cauliflower.

A small piece of smoked salmon.

Brie cheese, philly cream cheese.

Always have onions and sour cream.

Chop 1 onion and fry in butter.

Add broccoli and cauliflower,steams and all, almost cover with hot water.

Add 1 cub veg. buillion and a plenty of heavy cream. Simmer until softens (5 min?). Save a couple nice pieces to each plate.

Mix until smooth, add philly cheese, mix again.

Arrange the salmon and the saved pieces.

(You can sub the salmon with maybe bacon, ham or nothing…)

Add the hot soup,pieces of brie cheese,a dollop of sour cream and a dash of cayenne pepper.
