Gulash, very satisfying winter food.
For 6 servings:
I fried about 2 lb (700 gr) small pieces off beef in butter in 4 batches. Salt and black pepper.
Cleaned the pan with 1/2 cup of water after every batch and saved together with the meat.
Added 1 pkg of crushed tomatoes and about 1 tsp of each ground coriander and ground cumin.
Fried 2 chopped onions and 4 cloves of garlic and added 1/2 teaspoon red curry past (any hot will do like tabasco sauce or sambal oelek)
This far I did before lunch and left it on very low simmering until dinner time!
Just before serving I added 2 red peppers and heated through.
Served with a dollop of sour cream and a dash of cayenne.
