Train trip Oslo-Bergen, Norway
I read an article in our local newspaper: Göteborgs-Posten
As we are celebrating 30 years as married we decided to take a trip with the train to Bergen, Norway.
We started here in Gothenburg 6 am. As they are working on the rails we had to take a replacement bus to Trollhättan to catch the train to Oslo, Norway.
In Oslo they were also updating the Central Station so there was a bus to Honefoss.
This is the train we wanted to go! 5 hours of amazing views passing by!
We passed Nesbyen – Gol – Ål -Geilo – Ustaoset – Haugastol – Finse – Hallingskeid – Myrdal – Upsete – Voss – Dale and arrived in Bergen.
Hundreds of tunnels and bridges! We wondered HOW could they build this 100 years ago!
Railway station in Nesbyen.
What a beautiful house! In Gol.
We saw the white spots in the ski slopes, could that be snow in July? No we did not think so!
Next “fjell” we understood we were wrong!
Highest point 1222 meters / 4009 feet over the sea!
The sun is breaking through!
The color of the water!!!!
We spent a couple of days in Bergen I will post about that later.
Going home again.
We saw so many waterfalls!
